Family court is full of professionals ready to help with your issues following separation or divorce. Divorce coach’s, mediators, therapists, parenting classes, social workers, certified divorce financial advisors, attorneys, GAL, CFI's, and PRE's. And then there's me, Desiree Weaver, Co-parenting Coach. 

While I didn't set out to join the Family Court System, my experience in Colorado and North Carlina Family Courts set about a passion to help families establish child focused strategies to better co-parent. Throughout my time navigating the family courts, dealing with CFI's, attorneys, judges and a high conflict coparent, I was able to use my drive for resolution and de-escalation to navigate the system. During this time, I found no one else willing to do what I am offering, the way I do it. First and foremost, coparent coaching is NOT legal advice or counsel. It is not therapy. I am not an attorney, therapist or psychologist. 

Co-parent coaches are similar to a sports coach. The team players being the parents, children and families. The co-parent coach provides the direction and guidance to the team. 

As a coach, I will ask clients to give input and contribute to coming up with solutions. We will work together to give you the tools to remain child focused in an extremely emotional situation. Again I am not therapist, I am a valuable asset to help navigate co-parenting, before, during and after separation and divorce- and even when there was no marriage or relationship to begin with. I will be your advocate throughout the family law process and give you support to continue your co-parenting journey after permanent orders and beyond!

I am can help you individually, or I will work with multiple co-parents to achieve an ideal child focused relationship. 

As a Co-parenting coach, I am interested in designing solutions that are best for everyone involved and give parents the control over their outcome. Remaining child focused is my top priority. While it may be difficult to come to a solution everyone is overjoyed with, the solution should remain child focused and also consider the parents involved. Solutions that can be worked out between parents are usually more appropriate for the family as a whole, and are more likely to be complied with. 

While a GAL, CFI, and PRE are all hired on behalf of the Children, and attorneys are hired on behalf of the parents. As a co-parent coach, my role is as an advocate for the family as a whole.
